Senior EDIFECS Developer

Job Description:
- Lead EDIFECS configuration and development activities within a Medicaid healthcare EDI platform
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and applications
- Translate business requirements into clear technical solutions and system definitions
- Apply recurring ECL releases (quarterly and annual) across multi-environment platforms
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert on development initiatives
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle
- Develop technical specifications based on conceptual designs and business requirements
- Maintain, support, and document system functionality and configurations
- Analyze system configurations and end-to-end transaction mappings
- Maintain configuration management and version control within Azure DevOps
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Requirements:
- Advanced experience with EDIFECS in a healthcare clearinghouse or EDI platform environment
- Strong understanding of ANSI X12N 5010 transaction sets
- Experience with Linux, databases, ETL platforms, and reporting tools
- Experience applying ECL releases and managing multi-environmental deployments
- Knowledge of software architecture principles and implementation methodologies
- Experience with Azure DevOps for version control and configuration management
- Ability to identify gaps in system requirements and recommend effective solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 7+ years of total work experience
- Strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing platform ownership responsibilities
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders
