Senior Family Law Paralegal — Washington State (Statewide, Remote-Friendly)

Cowlitz Law Group PLLC and its affiliate Birch Bay Law Group PLLC are hiring a senior paralegal to support our family law practice across Washington State. We are a multi-office firm with our North Office in Blaine (Birch Bay), our South Office in Vancouver, a Tacoma satellite, and a Palm Springs satellite, serving clients in counties from Clark and Cowlitz to King, Pierce, Snohomish, Spokane, and beyond. We practice primarily through limited-scope engagements in divorce, parenting plans, child support, protection orders, relocation, and related family matters, alongside wills, probate, and guardianship work. You will work directly under the managing attorney. Your Washington family-law foundation is what matters most; the managing attorney will train you on Washington-specific procedure where needed, but you must bring real family law paralegal experience. What the work looks like at our firm. Paralegals here run the structured client intake process from first contact: scheduling calls, collecting documents, and building the case background before an attorney takes over strategy. You will manage client communications and follow-ups, keep deadlines and court calendars current, prepare drafts of pleadings and Washington pattern forms for attorney review, organize discovery, and log everything in Clio, our case management platform. Evenings and weekend flexibility help, since we meet clients where their schedules allow. All substantive work is performed under the supervision of a licensed Washington attorney. Office management experience is a bonus, and preference will be given to candidates who have it. Our Office Manager oversees day-to-day operations, and a paralegal who can also handle calendaring systems, intake coordination, and workflow management will stand out. Compensation is $55.00 per billable hour on family law matters and $25.00 per hour for non-billable work, with a minimum of 20 billable hours expected.
