Senior FP&A (Remote, Pacific Northwest ONLY)

Jennie Joiner with The Forum Group PNW is partnering with a growing, construction company to find a Senior FP&A professional. This is a newly created, true builder role. You’ll be the company’s first dedicated FP&A hire, creating the models, forecasts, and reporting from the ground up and partnering with leaders across the business. The role starts as an individual contributor, and the team may grow over time. Top Priorities

• Experience building financial models, forecasts, and reporting from scratch, not just improving existing ones
• Construction or manufacturing industry experience
• Hands-on KPI forecasting from start to finish: building forecasts, owning them over time, reforecasting as conditions change, and knowing when to scrap a model and rebuild it

What You’ll Do

• Build and own the monthly management reporting package, including the consolidated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Deliver variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year, with commentary that explains what is driving results
• Set up a weekly operating flash covering revenue, job production, backlog, headcount, and cash
• Define and own KPI reporting for each audience: field and operations leaders, the executive team, the Board, lenders, and private equity partners
• Work with operations leadership so the metrics are understood, trusted, and acted on
• Lead the annual budget, quarterly reforecasts, and long-range planning
• Build the 13-week cash flow forecast, an integrated three-statement model, and scenario analyses
• Improve visibility into working capital, including unbilled work, retainage, change orders, and collections
• Support work in progress (WIP) reporting and job-level analysis with accounting and operations
• Design a repeatable reporting structure across multiple accounting systems and help shape the long-term systems roadmap
• Support finance integration and performance tracking for future acquisitions

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of progressive FP&A or strategic finance experience
• Construction or manufacturing experience
• A track record of building an FP&A function, reporting, or forecasting process where little existed before
• Working knowledge of job costing, WIP, percentage of completion, and retainage
• Strong financial modeling skills, including three-statement models and short-term cash forecasting
• Advanced Excel. Experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, or similar tools is a strong plus.
• Experience applying AI tools to finance and reporting is a plus
• Private equity backed experience is preferred
• Familiarity with Foundation, Procore, or QuickBooks is a plus
• A roll-up-your-sleeves builder who asks questions, connects easily across the business, and wants to stay close to the numbers
