Role Description The Senior Front-end Engineer is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining modern, responsive user interfaces for web applications. This role involves translating product requirements and UX designs into high-quality, performant front-end code, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers. Day-to-day tasks include implementing reusable components, optimizing page load and rendering performance, ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, and integrating with APIs and backend services. The Senior Front-end Engineer will review code, mentor other engineers, contribute to architectural decisions, and uphold best practices in accessibility, security, and maintainability. The role also includes participation in sprint planning, proactive issue troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the front-end development workflow and tooling.
Qualifications
Strong Front-End Development skills, including modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular), HTML5, and CSS3. Experience with Responsive Web Design and building pixel-perfect, accessible interfaces across devices and browsers. Proficiency in Web Development fundamentals, including performance optimization, security considerations, and API integration. Understanding of Software Development practices such as version control (Git), testing, code review, and CI/CD workflows. Familiarity with Back-End Web Development concepts to effectively collaborate with backend teams and integrate front-end with services. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in remote, distributed teams and strong communication skills for async collaboration. Ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor peers, and contribute to front-end architecture and best practices. Nice to Have ⭐ Experience with Next.js, Nuxt.js, or other modern front-end frameworks. ⭐ Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or component libraries. ⭐ Experience building and maintaining design systems. ⭐ Knowledge of unit testing and end-to-end testing using Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright. ⭐ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and frontend deployment workflows. ⭐ Experience mentoring engineers or leading front-end technical initiatives.
