We're Hiring | Senior Hyper-V & SCVMM Infrastructure Engineer Location: Remote – USA Long-Term Contract (9–12+ Months) Start: ASAP We are looking for an experienced Senior Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Hyper-V, SCVMM, Windows Server, Failover Clustering, and enterprise hardware. This opportunity is ideal for a senior infrastructure professional experienced in designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing large-scale Microsoft virtualization environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage enterprise Microsoft Hyper-V clusters. Administer SCVMM (System Center Virtual Machine Manager) for virtualization management, provisioning, and automation. Configure and troubleshoot Failover Clustering, Cluster Shared Volumes (CSV), Live Migration, and Storage Migration. Support Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 environments. Manage Hyper-V virtual switches, VLANs, NIC teaming, and MAC address configurations. Administer WSUS and execute server patch management strategies. Support HPE Synergy and HPE ProLiant DL380 server infrastructure. Perform infrastructure capacity planning, performance optimization, and resource forecasting. Develop PowerShell scripts for infrastructure automation. Troubleshoot complex compute, storage, networking, and virtualization issues. Actual pay may vary based on Client's assessment of the candidates knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications.
