We cultivate a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and continuous learning, where every team member is encouraged to bring fresh ideas to the table and drive tangible change. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or an emerging talent, you’ll find a supportive environment that values growth, celebrates success, and rewards contributions.

Why This Role Matters

Inventory is the lifeblood of any science‑driven organization. Accurate, timely inventory data ensures that researchers have the reagents they need, clinicians can deliver diagnostics without delay, and our global supply chain operates with precision. As the Senior Inventory Management Supervisor, you will be the guardian of this critical function, leading a high‑performing team of Customer Inventory Specialists and partnering across the organization to keep our inventory ecosystem running smoothly.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, visionary leader to spearhead our Customer Inventory Specialist team. In this role, you will blend strategic leadership with hands‑on problem solving, ensuring that inventory flows seamlessly across the entire supply chain while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction. You will serve as the ultimate point of escalation for complex inventory issues, mentor and develop a high‑performing team, and partner cross‑functionally with Customer Care, Marketing, Planning, and Sales to keep our inventory data accurate and our processes efficient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Escalation Leadership: Own final‑level resolution of complex customer inventory problems, protecting customer relationships and minimizing financial impact.
  • Team Development: Recruit, onboard, train, and coach Inventory Specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high engagement.
  • Strategic Direction: Define and communicate departmental strategy, set priorities, and ensure consistent adherence to GCO processes across all product lines.
  • Process Design & Improvement: Build, implement, and refine inventory control procedures that reduce waste, eliminate physical‑to‑virtual discrepancies, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Data‑Driven Leadership: Translate inventory data into actionable insights, deliver regular reporting to senior management, and lead data‑driven process improvements.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Customer Care, Sales, Planning, Logistics, and Manufacturing to align inventory flow with customer demand and operational realities.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that impact inventory management.
  • Technology Stewardship: Champion the adoption of advanced inventory management systems and analytics tools, ensuring they are leveraged to their full potential.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential inventory risks, develop mitigation plans, and maintain compliance with global regulatory standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Present inventory performance metrics and improvement plans to executive leadership and key stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field (equivalent work experience will be considered).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in inventory management, sales support, or customer operations, with a proven track record of leading teams and managing complex customer relationships.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze cross‑functional issues quickly and exercise sound judgment.
  • High level of analytical and technical proficiency, including data accuracy focus and experience interpreting inventory reports to inform business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with a history of collaborating effectively across Customer Care, Planning, Logistics, Sales, and Manufacturing.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and capable of prioritizing multiple competing deadlines and projects in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience managing a team of at least 5–10 inventory specialists or similar roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced inventory management systems (e.g., ERP platforms).
  • Knowledge of supply‑chain analytics tools and data visualization platforms.
  • Prior experience in a high‑growth, global organization.
  • Leadership experience in a remote or hybrid work setting.
  • Certifications in Supply Chain Management (CSCP, APICS, or equivalent).

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Leadership & Coaching: Ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team.
  • Strategic Planning: Translate business objectives into actionable inventory strategies.
  • Analytical Thinking: Turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Process Improvement: Design, implement, and refine processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Communication: Convey complex concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Technology Savvy: Comfortable adopting new tools and platforms to drive performance.
