Senior Manager of FP&A- BioTech

A newly private, commercial-stage biopharma company is building out its FP&A function, and this Senior Manager will be one of the first key hires under new ownership. Backed by a healthcare-focused private equity sponsor, the company has FDA-approved products on the market and a leadership team that wants finance at the table for every major decision. You’ll partner across R&D and Commercial, work directly with the executive team and sponsor, and help build the processes and systems that will carry the business into its next phase. Fully remote for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones. What You’ll Do Serve as a trusted finance partner to functional leaders across R&D and Commercial, supporting both ongoing research investment and the financial performance of marketed products. Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for OpEx and capital, and present results, variance analysis, risks, and opportunities to leadership. Analyze gross to net revenue, including rebates, discounts, and payer-related adjustments. Manage rolling cash projections in partnership with AP, AR, and Treasury. Prepare quarterly and ad hoc reporting for executive leadership, the Board, and the sponsor. Build NPV, ROI, IRR, and scenario models to drive investment decisions, including sensitivities, payback, and downside cases, and conduct post-implementation reviews. Partner with procurement and operations on production forecasting, COGS modeling, and procurement strategy. Support month-end close, including accruals. Improve FP&A processes and reporting and support ERP and planning system initiatives. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA and/or CPA preferred. 7+ years of progressive FP&A experience. FP&A experience in pharma, biotech, or life sciences (required). Hands-on experience supporting both R&D finance and Commercial finance (required). Working knowledge of gross to net revenue, including rebates, discounts, and payer adjustments. Experience supporting a PE-backed or sponsor-owned company, including sponsor reporting and EBITDA and cash-focused performance management. Strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior leadership, the Board, and sponsor stakeholders. Complex financial modeling skills and advanced Excel and PowerPoint. Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP. SAP or S/4HANA experience strongly preferred. Planning system and BI tool experience a plus.
