Senior Platform Security Engineer | Series B Fintech | Remote (US/Canada) or Hybrid NYC, $210k-$240k base + meaningful equity I’m working with a well-funded Series B fintech building the data and AI infrastructure behind modern financial services. Their platform processes billions of transactions for enterprise bank customers, and they’re hiring a senior engineer to own the security of the production edge that connects them to those banks. This is a high-ownership role on a small team. Your decisions will directly protect critical financial infrastructure, and as an early hire you’ll help shape the engineering and security culture. What you’ll do
- Own and operate mutual-TLS certificate infrastructure for enterprise bank onboarding
- Build the security workflow for private network connectivity, including tenancy mapping and connection monitoring
- Run webhook delivery security: signing-secret rotation, client-cert management and failure response
- Drive vulnerability remediation end-to-end, from scanning through verified closure
- Set and codify secure-build standards across engineering
What they’re looking for
- 6+ years in platform, infrastructure or network security with hands-on ownership of production systems
- Deep PKI and certificate lifecycle experience
- Strong TLS/mTLS knowledge
- Hands-on AWS networking and security
- Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0 (client-credentials, JWT validation) and certificate-bound tokens
- A track record of setting security standards and getting engineering teams to adopt them
Nice to have: fintech/payments or bank network integration experience, AWS CDK, PCI DSS or SOC 2 control implementation, and time on a small or early-stage security team. Why it’s worth a look
