Role Overview

As a Senior Principal Implementation Engineer at brighthush, you will be the linchpin between our product, our customers, and the broader IAM ecosystem. You will lead complex, high‑visibility implementations, ensuring that our platform delivers maximum value to enterprise clients while maintaining the highest standards of security and reliability. Your deep technical expertise, combined with a passion for customer success, will help us drive adoption, reduce time‑to‑value, and build lasting partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Enterprise Implementations – Own the full implementation lifecycle for large, multi‑tenant deployments, from discovery and design to migration and post‑go‑live support. You will work closely with customer stakeholders to understand business goals, technical constraints, and compliance requirements.
• Architect Technical Solutions – Design scalable, secure architectures that integrate with customers’ existing identity providers, SSO solutions, and cloud infrastructures. Your designs will be documented, reviewed, and approved by both engineering and product teams.
• Mentor & Coach – Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, support teams, and customer success managers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Customer Advocacy – Act as the voice of the customer within product and engineering teams, translating real‑world challenges into actionable product enhancements and roadmap items.
• Process & Tooling Optimization – Develop and refine deployment scripts, automation pipelines, and documentation to streamline future implementations and reduce manual effort.
• Technical Evangelism – Represent brighthush at industry events, webinars, and community forums, showcasing our platform’s capabilities and best practices.
• Risk & Compliance Management – Ensure all implementations meet regulatory requirements (GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001) and internal security policies, conducting risk assessments and mitigation plans as needed.
• Metrics & Reporting – Track implementation KPIs, provide regular status updates to stakeholders, and identify areas for continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in IAM, security engineering, or related fields.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale, complex implementations for enterprise clients.
• Deep knowledge of SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM, and LDAP protocols.
• Hands‑on experience with leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell; familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross‑functional team collaboration.
