Our mission is to transform how energy is generated, stored, and consumed while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Why This Role Matters
As a Senior Project Manager in the Defense & Offshore Customer Projects division, you will be the linchpin that connects brighthush’s engineering excellence with the unique needs of high‑stakes maritime and defense customers. You will lead complex, multi‑disciplinary projects that span the entire product lifecycle—from initial order entry through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning. Your stewardship will directly influence brighthush’s reputation for on‑time, on‑budget delivery and for exceeding customer expectations in challenging environments. This role is pivotal to our growth strategy in the defense and offshore markets, where precision, reliability, and regulatory compliance are non‑negotiable.
Key Responsibilities
- End‑to‑End Project Leadership: Own the full project lifecycle, ensuring that every phase—planning, design, procurement, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning—meets contractual scope, quality, and schedule targets. Drive cross‑functional alignment and maintain a clear, data‑driven project roadmap.
- Cross‑Functional Team Management: Lead diverse teams of engineers, procurement specialists, manufacturing planners, and field technicians. Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across internal and subcontracted resources.
- Customer Interface & Relationship Building: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, delivering clear, proactive communication, managing expectations, and building trust through transparency and responsiveness. Act as a strategic advisor on technical and commercial matters.
- Financial Stewardship: Own project financials, including revenue forecasting, contribution margin, cash collection, and adherence to regional business targets. Conduct regular financial reviews, adjust plans to protect profitability, and report variances to senior leadership.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks or issues that could impact safety, compliance, customer satisfaction, or business outcomes. Escalate critical matters promptly and drive resolution through structured problem‑solving frameworks.
- Governance & Reporting: Facilitate project reviews, status meetings, risk assessments, and closure documentation. Maintain rigorous documentation and reporting to internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring audit readiness.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate project processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and embed best practices across the organization. Champion the adoption of lean, Six Sigma, and Agile principles where appropriate.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all project activities comply with brighthush’s EHS, Quality, and Compliance standards, as well as any applicable defense and maritime regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and ISO certifications.
- Travel & On‑Site Presence: Travel up to 25% of the time to customer sites, manufacturing facilities, and partner locations to oversee critical milestones and maintain hands‑on leadership.
