Why This Role Matters
As a Senior Remote Customer Service Specialist in our Solutions division, you will become the heartbeat of every shipment that passes through our network. From the first pick‑up to the final delivery, you will ensure that every customer interaction reflects the highest standards of accuracy, timeliness, and satisfaction. If you thrive on solving complex puzzles, love the intricacies of freight logistics, and excel in a fast‑paced remote environment, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Interaction & Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries about pick‑ups, deliveries, shipment tracking, and proof‑of‑delivery (POD) documentation. Resolve complex shipment issues with empathy, clarity, and speed.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with warehouse managers, operations teams, and senior leadership to define service criteria, align on customer expectations, and guarantee seamless freight movement.
- Invoice & Discrepancy Management: Investigate billing discrepancies, reconcile invoices, and coordinate with finance and billing departments to close out outstanding issues.
- Freight Documentation & Compliance: Accurately input, retrieve, and audit freight data in our proprietary systems. Verify air bills, manifests, and special handling paperwork for completeness and regulatory compliance.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Reconcile driver pickup and delivery manifests, audit air bills, and log damaged or misrouted shipments in the appropriate reporting tools.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in freight coding and tracking processes. Propose and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency and elevate the customer experience.
- Customer Follow‑Up: Conduct proactive outreach to customers and internal stakeholders to ensure all service level agreements (SLAs) are met and exceeded.
- Special Handling Coordination: Manage freight requiring special handling—hazardous materials, temperature‑controlled cargo, or high‑value items—ensuring all regulatory and safety requirements are met.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that can improve freight management and customer service.
