Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Remote Infrastructure Deployment Specialist to join our Hardware Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, networking equipment, and associated software across our global data centers. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deploy new infrastructure, support large‑scale projects, and continuously improve our operational processes—all while working remotely from anywhere in the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy and Maintain Infrastructure: Install, configure, and test servers, storage arrays, and networking gear (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers) in brighthush data centers.
• Operate and Troubleshoot Linux Systems: Manage brighthush’s Linux clusters, resolve OS‑level issues, and apply patches and updates to keep systems secure and efficient.
• Network Configuration: Set up VLANs, routing protocols, and firewall rules; monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity problems.
• Project Participation: Lead or support small project teams on large‑scale deployments, contributing to project plans, risk assessments, and post‑deployment reviews.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain detailed installation guides, troubleshooting playbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks, propose automation solutions, and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow brighthush’s safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements while working in data center environments.
• Performance Monitoring: Use monitoring tools to track system health, uptime, and performance metrics, and proactively address potential issues.

Essential Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in server maintenance, system administration, or network operations.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux‑based operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in managing networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs) and configuring enterprise‑grade networking equipment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex hardware and software issues quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of documenting procedures and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Self‑motivated, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
