Virtualization Migration Assessment (VMA) Senior ConsultantEngagement: 1,000 hours Work Mode: Remote Technical Skills & Responsibilities:Use the Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV) to migrate Windows and Linux virtual machines from VMware to OpenShift Virtualization. Working knowledge of OpenShift Virtualization, including Multus networking for VMs and CSI storage backends. Troubleshoot OpenShift issues related to scheduling, resource reservations, node status, and NMState. Basic familiarity with the VMware UI for troubleshooting. Troubleshoot Linux and Windows operating system boot issues during VM migrations. Consulting & Communication Requirements:Technical expertise alone is not enough for these roles. We are seeking consultants who can combine strong engineering skills with a customer-focused consulting mindset.Successful candidates should demonstrate:Excellent communication skills – clear, confident, articulate, and persuasive communication with customers and stakeholders. Strong consulting presence – the ability to lead technical discussions, facilitate meetings, and confidently guide customer conversations. Stakeholder management – the ability to adapt communication style to different customer personalities, audiences, and business needs. Critical thinking and constructive challenge – the confidence to tactfully question assumptions, explain technical trade-offs, and recommend better solutions when appropriate. Customer-focused problem-solving – the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear explanations, practical recommendations, and actionable next steps. Professional ownership – the ability to manage challenging conversations, build customer trust, and drive issues toward resolution.
