Senior R/Python Application Developer Remote | 12+ Month Contract (Renewable)

Overview

A growing biotechnology organization is seeking an experienced R/Python Application Developer to support clinical data analysis, reporting, and application development initiatives. This position will work closely with biostatistics and clinical development teams to build and maintain tools that improve data visualization, reporting, and decision-making across clinical studies. This is a fully remote consulting opportunity .

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant industry experience, or Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience Hands-on experience developing web-based applications using R Shiny Strong expertise in Shiny application architecture and development Advanced programming skills in Python Exposure to AI-related programming projects or initiatives Experience developing modular, scalable code within Shiny applications Experience generating statistical outputs and reports using R Experience producing publication-ready reports in PDF and/or RTF formats Experience working within server-based RStudio environments Knowledge of clinical trial data standards such as SDTM and ADaM is preferred

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain R Shiny applications for clinical data review and reporting Generate study deliverables including tables, listings, and figures (TLFs) using R Perform data manipulation, transformation, and derivation activities using R Support reporting and analytics efforts across clinical development programs Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to enhance data visualization and reporting solutions Provide additional R programming support as needed Ideal Background: Candidates with experience supporting clinical trials within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industries, particularly those with strong R Shiny development expertise and an interest in modern analytics and AI-driven solutions.
