Senior Software Quality Assurance Manager

Job Title: Senior Manager QA Engineer – Mainframe Modernization Location: Remote (US Onshore) Experience: 12–15 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer/Manager with strong hands-on mainframe testing experience to support a mainframe-to-AWS modernization program. The ideal candidate will lead QA strategy, parallel testing, data migration validation, batch equivalence, and cutover readiness while building automated testing solutions using Python and Go. Key Responsibilities: Lead QA strategy, test planning, regression, integration, performance, and cutover testing. Analyze COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, VSAM, and CICS applications to validate legacy business logic. Execute parallel runs and reconcile outputs between mainframe and AWS environments. Develop Python/pytest automation and Go-based data validation utilities. Validate data migration, batch processing, and AWS services including S3, Lambda, and Aurora/PostgreSQL. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and mentor QA engineers. Leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor for test generation and automation while maintaining data security. Required Skills: 10–12+ years of QA/testing experience, including 4+ years in mainframe testing. Strong COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, VSAM, CICS, and batch processing knowledge. Hands-on Python, pytest, pandas, SQL, and working proficiency in Go. AWS modernization, parallel testing, data reconciliation, and migration validation. AI-assisted testing experience and CI/CD knowledge. Healthcare payer experience in claims processing, eligibility, or core administration preferred; X12 EDI, HL7, or FHIR exposure is a plus.
