Senior Transfer Agent | Securities | Digital Assets | USA | Remote
SENIOR TRANSFER AGENT OPERATIONS & COMPLIANCE MANAGER ABOUT THE ROLE Transfer agents have traditionally operated through closed databases, batch files, manual reconciliations, and workflows designed decades ago. The company is rebuilding that infrastructure from first principles. We are the first onchain-native, SEC-registered transfer agent. Here, blockchain is not a digital wrapper added to a legacy shareholder register. It is part of the infrastructure through which ownership is recorded, controlled, and operated. We are hiring an experienced transfer-agent operator who knows the rules, understands the operational consequences of getting them wrong, and wants to help design a better way to run the entire function. WHAT YOU WILL OWN You will be responsible for the integrity and execution of the company's core transfer-agent operations, including: Processing issuances, transfers, cancellations, and other securities transactions Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of shareholder records and cap tables Reviewing restricted securities, legends, supporting documentation, and transfer requirements Managing corporate actions, reconciliations, and operational exceptions Supporting issuers, shareholders, counsel, and other market participants Operating and improving onchain transaction workflows Maintaining transfer-agent policies, procedures, and internal controls Preparing regulatory filings and supporting SEC examinations Identifying operational and regulatory risks before they become incidents Turning complex transfer-agent requirements into clear product rules, controls, and repeatable processes Building the operating foundation required to serve a growing number of issuers and shareholders You will not inherit a large team or a finished legacy playbook. You will help build the playbook, operate it, and eventually help lead the team around it. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR You should have direct, hands-on experience working within an SEC-registered transfer agent and be able to independently interpret transfer-agent rules and apply them to real operational situations. You likely have experience with several of the following: Transfer processing and registered ownership records Restricted securities and legend administration Issuer instructions, legal opinions, and supporting documentation Corporate actions and reconciliations Written supervisory or operating procedures Regulatory filings and SEC examinations Operational controls, exception management, and audit trails Direct issuer and shareholder servicing Building or improving transfer-agent workflows, systems, or teams You do not need prior blockchain experience. You do need enough curiosity to learn how onchain infrastructure worksβand enough conviction to help determine how regulated transfer-agent responsibilities should operate within it. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE AFTER SIX MONTHS Within six months, you should be able to: Run the company's daily transfer-agent operations without founder dependency Maintain an exam-ready control environment with clear evidence and accountability Reliably support a growing base of issuers and shareholders Translate regulatory requirements into product specifications and operational controls Identify and resolve gaps across operations, compliance, and technology Establish the processes and foundations from which a broader transfer-agent operations team can scale Demonstrate what a truly onchain-native transfer agent can do better than a legacy operating model LOCATION This is a full-time position open to candidates based in the United States. We welcome US-remote candidates, with a strong preference for people who can work regularly with the team from our New York City office.
