Role Description The Senior Vice President at RMR Legal Consulting is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading strategic legal initiatives and overseeing key client relationships. This role will guide the development and execution of legal strategies across corporate governance, contracts, litigation management, M&A, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Vice President will collaborate closely with clients to understand business goals, provide practical legal counsel, and ensure that services are delivered with high quality and efficiency. Day-to-day tasks include managing and mentoring legal team members and external partners, reviewing and negotiating complex agreements, monitoring legal risks, and contributing to business development efforts. The role also involves improving internal processes, setting performance standards, and supporting the Principal in long-term planning and firm growth.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in corporate law, including contract review and drafting, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. Proficiency in litigation management, dispute resolution, and risk assessment for complex corporate matters. Strong knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance, data privacy and security, and employment law best practices. Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice, develop legal strategy, and align counsel with business objectives. Proven leadership skills, including team management, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration in a remote environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in clear, practical terms. Experience working with startups, small businesses, and corporate legal departments is highly beneficial. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing. Strong business acumen, client service orientation, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, solution-focused consulting environment.
