Senior Vice President of Strategic Development

Role Description The Senior Vice President of Strategic Development is a full-time, remote executive role responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s long-term strategic agenda. This position leads strategic planning initiatives, including market analysis, competitive assessments, and portfolio evaluation, to identify growth opportunities and business risks. The SVP partners with executive leadership to define strategic priorities, build business plans, and align financial resources with key initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing strategic projects, guiding cross-functional teams, reviewing performance metrics, and refining strategies based on data and stakeholder feedback. The role also involves presenting strategic recommendations to the board or senior leadership, supporting major partnerships and investments, and ensuring that strategic goals are translated into clear operational plans.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in Business Planning and Strategic Planning, including developing and executing multi-year growth strategies. Executive Management experience with a track record of leading senior teams, influencing stakeholders, and driving organizational alignment. Strong Analytical Skills, including comfort with quantitative analysis, performance metrics, and data-driven decision-making. Solid Finance acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, and evaluating business cases or investments. Proven success in remote leadership, with excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in strategic development, corporate strategy, or management consulting at a senior level. Advanced degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent senior-level experience. Ability to operate with integrity, maintain confidentiality, and navigate complex organizational and market dynamics.
