SEO Contractor – Technical SEO
Akkodis is seeking a SEO Contractor – Technical SEO for a 3 Month contract role with a client located in California (Remote). Pay Range: $60- $70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Job Summary: We are seeking a hands-on Technical SEO Contractor to help improve the performance, search visibility, and overall technical health of the company website. The team already has a strong understanding of the work that needs to be completed but needs additional resources to execute and prioritize these initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct a comprehensive technical SEO audit of the website. Evaluate findings and prioritize recommendations based on impact. Implement technical SEO improvements across existing web pages. Apply and optimize structured data/schema markup. Review and update XML sitemaps and other technical SEO elements. Identify and address website quality, performance, and page-speed issues. Improve the site's ability to surface in traditional search as well as AI-driven search experiences. Partner with engineering and other internal teams to implement recommended changes. Provide technical SEO guidance and best practices to a larger cross-functional team. Focus primarily on technical SEO rather than content creation. Preferred Experience: Approximately 2–5 years of SEO experience, with strong technical SEO capabilities. B2B SaaS experience is preferred. Experience working with Contentful CMS and JavaScript-based websites is a plus. Hands-on experience with: Google Search Console Google Analytics / GA4 Semrush Ahrefs Screaming Frog Profound Comfortable independently auditing a website, identifying issues, establishing priorities, and partnering with technical teams on implementation.
