SOC/Assurance Advisory Consultant

Seeking a senior consultant to assess and recommend the most appropriate assurance framework for an alternative asset manager. The advisor will evaluate SOC 1 (Type 1 vs. Type 2), AUP, and internal assurance options, considering investor expectations, industry practices, operational risks, costs, and implementation effort. Assess the firm's operating model, control environment, and outsourced service provider arrangements. Advise on the benefits, trade-offs, costs, and timing associated with SOC 1, AUP, and internal assurance approaches. Provide market insights on assurance practices and investor expectations across the asset management industry. Develop a recommendation and implementation roadmap, including key workstreams, stakeholders, risks, and dependencies. 10+ years in Risk Advisory, SOC/ISAE 3402 Advisory, Internal Controls Consulting, Operational Risk, or Assurance Advisory, ideally with experience serving asset managers, private equity firms, hedge funds, or other financial services organizations.
