Remote Position

Social Media and Communications Assistant

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

About Fund Her: Fund Her is a political action committee dedicated to helping to elect progressive women in the most strategic state races in the country, putting women at the helm of the world’s fifth largest economy here in California and electing women who can flip seats (and help flip legislatures) blue across the country. We support accomplished, progressive women, and we assess candidate viability as well as leadership on our core pillars: women’s equality, reproductive freedom, social justice, and climate responsibility. Since launching in 2017, we have helped elect 130 women in 9 states, over 65% of whom are Women of Color or members of the LGBTQIA+ community. In the 2024 election alone, we helped elect 39 women, including candidates who helped boost women’s representation in the California state legislature to a record-high 48% and pushed the California State Senate to achieve gender parity for the first time in history. We are proud to have supported the victories of phenomenal candidates including Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs; the first Muslim elected to statewide office, Virginia Lt. Governor Ghazala Hashmi; and more recently, Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee. The team behind Fund Her is small but effective, dynamic and creative. With the exception of occasional travel to in-person events and candidate meetings, our team works remotely. Trend Research: Keep an eye on emerging viral trends, audio clips, and strategies from similar organizations to pitch fresh content ideas. Analytics & Reporting: Track key performance indicators such as reach, engagement rate, follower growth, and clicks to help assemble simple reports to deliver to the Director of Operations and Programming. Team Support: Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Programming, and sometimes with the Digital Fundraising Consultant and Operations and Programming Assistant, to prepare updates about Fund Her endorsements, upcoming events, and other timely events. Qualifications: Currently a college student or young professional interested in politics, policy, or working for a non-profit. Strengths in social media, graphic design, and marketing.
