Social Media and Research Intern (Fashion Students, For Credit) at LORYN

🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

LORYN.COM · Remote (New York, NY) · Internship · 3 to 6 months LORYN is a luxury resale curation platform. The Edit is our shop, Monthly Muse is our feature program, and our Instagram runs on a Y2K-editorial point of view. We’re looking for a genuinely creative fashion student who wants to learn how a luxury resale brand builds its voice, with direct mentorship from the founder, flexibility around their school schedule, and the chance to be considered for a paid full-time role at the end of the internship. This is half social media and half research. If you love digging through archival runway footage and old magazines as much as you love making a carousel, this is for you. What you’ll learn and do Social Develop a weekly content rhythm: three Instagram posts for our Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule, built from our carousel template library and reviewed with the founder before they go live Build and adapt templates in Canva and Claude Design; this is where most of the visual work happens, and where you’ll get the most feedback Draft captions, content plans, and performance writeups with Claude, and learn to write in a defined brand voice Read weekly performance numbers and learn to turn them into decisions Research Help find the Monthly Muse every month: scout candidates, build a shortlist with your reasoning, and learn how we make the final call Research old runway shows, archival magazines, and vintage editorials, and learn how that research becomes a brand’s visual direction Trace the history of specific pieces in The Edit: the collection, the season, the references, the people who wore them Keep a running research archive we can pull from for future content and Muse features You’ll work directly with the founder; no layers between you and the decisions. Make it your own Three posts a week plus the monthly Muse research is the baseline. If you want more, we’re open to it: fully managing the account, posting more often, running Stories, handling comments and DMs, or launching our TikTok. This position can become what you want it to be. Who you are Currently enrolled in a fashion program anywhere in the world (FIT, Parsons, Pratt, LIM, Central Saint Martins, Bunka, or similar) and able to receive academic credit for this internship through your school’s internship office Fluent in Canva: brand kits, templates, resizing, animation, not just drag-and-drop Fluent in Claude: you use it daily for writing, planning, and research, and you know how to get good output from it Fluent in Instagram and TikTok; you don’t need to be a creator, but you need to understand what works and why Strong eye for luxury, resale, and editorial aesthetics Strong interest in vintage designer fashion, and a natural researcher: you already go down rabbit holes on fashion history for fun Reliable: you hit the Mon/Wed/Fri schedule without reminders Bonus: Figma, basic photo editing, an existing fashion account of your own Details 3 to 6 month internship for academic credit, whatever length your school requires. A signed internship agreement with your school is required before you start; we’ll complete the paperwork This is an unpaid educational internship.
