Social Media Video Editor
RYSE is a smart home startup operating in Canada and the United States. We build devices that automate existing window coverings, with control through a smartphone app, voice assistants, and integrations with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Apple HomeKit. The Role
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented video editor who understands short-form social content and knows how to make videos that capture attention, retain viewers, and have the potential to go viral.
What You’ll Do
- Edit and deliver at least one engaging short-form video per day.
- Develop fresh video concepts, hooks, and creative approaches for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Stay current with platform trends, editing styles, and emerging content formats.
- Work independently and collaboratively to produce polished, on-brand content.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- At least one year of social media video editing experience.
- Proficiency with CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Familiarity with Asana, Google Drive, and cloud-based collaboration tools.
- Strong spoken and written English, including writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience applying brand guidelines and maintaining visual consistency in edited content.
- Experience managing deadlines in a content production or video editing workflow.
- A portfolio or examples of relevant short-form video work.
At least one year of social media video editing experience; proficiency with CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro; familiarity with Asana, Google Drive, and cloud collaboration tools; strong English; portfolio of short-form video work.
