Sourcing Specialist Lead - Buying/Procurement

**Sourcing Specialist Lead Job Type:** W2 Contract Contract Duration: 12 Months, Potential Extension Location: Sugar Land, TX 77478 Pay Rate: $40.00–$45.00 per hour Work Arrangement: Hybrid Work Schedule Tuesday–Thursday: Onsite, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Monday & Friday: Remote (WFH) Must reside within a 40–50 minute commute of the work location. Job Summary This role supports procurement and sourcing activities through purchase order management, supplier relationship management, issue resolution, ERP system updates, and procurement process improvements. The position requires 5+ years of procurement or sourcing experience, along with strong negotiation, contract management, supplier relationship, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Experience with Power BI, Excel, dashboard reporting, and analytics is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Create, issue, and manage purchase orders (POs). Build and maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely PO execution. Resolve supplier issues, schedule changes, and delivery concerns. Update and maintain ERP system information. Support process improvements and procurement initiatives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and contribute to project success.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of sourcing experience. 5+ years of procurement or sourcing experience. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Leadership mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
