Most important in order: SQL database design and optimization SSIS ETL transformation packages Devops Tableau Job Title: SQL Database Developer Location: 100% remote, EST hours required Start: ASAP Duration: 6 months initial expectation + extensions + ability and interest to convert perm without sponsorship required Interview Process: One Teams video interview Must Haves 5+ years of experience with: Visual Studio SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) Creating and optimizing stored procedures Creating database objects, triggers, and functions Building and optimizing indexes Writing dynamic SQL Creating parameterized stored procedures SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) Writing variables and expressions within SSIS Source control and deployment tools such as GitHub and Azure DevOps Strong SQL Server database development experience Power BI or Tableau Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Pluses 1-3 years of experience with: AI developer tools (Copilot, Claude) Experience with: Databricks MongoDB Amazon Web Services (AWS) Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Day-to-Day Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server database solutions. Create, optimize, and troubleshoot stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other database objects. Develop and maintain SSIS packages for data integration and ETL processes. Build and support SSRS reports for business stakeholders. Analyze database performance and implement indexing and optimization strategies. Write dynamic SQL and parameterized procedures to support application requirements. Collaborate with development teams using GitHub and DevOps tools for version control and deployments. Support reporting and analytics initiatives using Power BI, Tableau, and emerging AI-assisted development tools. Participate in database enhancements, troubleshooting, and ongoing process improvements. Experience: 5 years required
