Sr. Mainframe Programmer

Per the client, No C2C's! Central Point Partners is currently interviewing candidates in the Columbus, Oh area for a large client. Because this is a Contract to Hire position only GC’s and USC’s. This position is Hybrid (2-3 Days remote/work from home)! Only candidates who are local to Columbus, Oh will be considered. Sr. Mainframe Programmer JOB DESCRIPTION DEV with mainframe knowledge, JCL, CICS, COBOL, DB2 Working on BAI file setups for previous day and current day Familiar with running batch jobs Summary: Our client is looking a Programmer/Analyst-Senior in the Enterprise Payments organization. This resource will modify existing software/application programs, which are typically more complex in nature, or write new programs to support user and management needs. Duties and Responsibilities: · Designs, tests, debugs, documents, and implements those programs · Consults with users to design, modify, and explain program changes or to provide technical support · Resolves problems which occur in production systems. · Help with setting up BAI files for new customers · Help with running batch job stream · Help with documenting test results · Performs other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: · Bachelor's Degree · 7+ years of Mainframe experience with COBOL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, JCL.
