Sr. Pentaho ETL Developer

Key Responsibilities

Provide BAU support for existing data products and data integration pipelines. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in a timely manner. Implement minor enhancements and performance optimizations to existing data workflows. Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI/Spoon). Design and develop new ETL pipelines to ingest data from APIs and multiple source systems. Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support data processing, analysis, and ad hoc reporting requirements. Ensure data quality, reliability, and operational stability across all environments. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while working independently with minimal supervision. Adhere to NYPA operational, security, and compliance standards. Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI/Spoon). Solid experience with API integrations and data ingestion processes. Expertise in writing and optimizing SQL queries for reporting and data transformation. Experience supporting production data environments and BAU operations. Proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues efficiently. Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to work as an independent contributor. Good to Have Prior experience with Informatica (preferred but not mandatory). Exposure to utility, energy, or other regulated industry data environments. Experience working with enterprise-scale data integration platforms.
