Sr. Systems (Linux) Engineer

You will manage RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments across on-premise and Azure Cloud infrastructures, covering pre-production, production, and disaster recovery sites. This role is remote.
Responsibilities
- Manage virtual and physical Linux environments, including server provisioning and capacity management.
- Design and implement automated solutions for system administration, patching, and security auditing.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis for production incidents.
- Execute non-emergency disruptive maintenance, operating system upgrades, and hardware refreshes.
- Collaborate with architects on infrastructure roadmaps, technology modernization, and product lifecycle design.
Required Skills
- 8 years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration within a production enterprise environment.
- Deep expertise in RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Proficiency with BASH, Chef, and Ansible for automation and scripting.
- Strong knowledge of VMware administration tools.
- Experience with storage connectivity and provisioning, including Disk Storage, LVM, SAN, and NFS.
- Hands-on experience managing on-premise hosted environments.
- Practical understanding of ITIL and ITSM frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage multiple technical projects and execute complex plans simultaneously.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing Linux-based workloads in Azure Web Services.
- Experience supporting Kubernetes and container-based environments.
- Experience with Terraform and PowerShell scripting.
