About brighthush

brighthush stands at the forefront of the high‑precision optics industry, delivering world‑class microscope systems, objective lenses, and integrated optical components that empower breakthroughs in clinical diagnostics, life‑sciences research, semiconductor manufacturing, space biology, and industrial instrumentation. With a global footprint spanning 57 locations and a dedicated team of over 4,500 professionals, brighthush has earned the trust of OEM partners who choose to embed our cutting‑edge components into their next‑generation instruments rather than develop them in‑house. In Europe, brighthush Europe operates from Hamburg, Germany, employing around 770 experts across 16 countries, and is now expanding its presence across the entire EMEA region.

Why This Role Matters

In the world of high‑precision optics, OEM relationships are the backbone of sustained market leadership. These partnerships often span 5 to 20+ years, and the health of each account directly influences revenue, brand reputation, and product innovation. The Strategic Customer Success Manager for the EMEA region will be the linchpin that ensures these long‑term relationships thrive. This is not a routine sales or support role; it is a strategic, high‑visibility position that shapes the future of brighthush’s OEM ecosystem across the continent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Ownership & Retention: Act as the primary commercial contact for a portfolio of established EMEA OEM accounts. Maintain regular touchpoints with purchasing, operations, and technical teams to guarantee on‑time delivery, rapid issue resolution, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Proactive Commercial Growth: Move beyond reactive order processing. Monitor purchasing patterns, identify incremental expansion opportunities, manage quote‑to‑order conversions, and support contract negotiations and renewals.
  • Co‑Pilot Strategic Growth: Partner closely with regional Strategic Account Managers focused on new business development. Handle commercial continuity so they can drive new design‑ins, and seamlessly transition wins into long‑term, high‑value accounts.
  • Global & Cross‑Functional Coordination: Collaborate daily with local Customer Support (Prague), Applications Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure seamless fulfillment and rapid resolution of customer issues.
  • Pipeline & CRM Management: Maintain accurate forecasting, customer data, and sales activity tracking within CRM to support global business planning and provide actionable insights.
  • Periodic Customer Engagement: Connect with clients primarily via phone/video, supplemented by periodic face‑to‑face visits, trade shows, and internal team meetings across Europe (approximately once every two months).
  • Strategic Insight & Reporting: Generate quarterly business reviews, account health dashboards, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Process Improvement: Identify gaps in the customer journey and propose process enhancements that drive efficiency and elevate the customer experience.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: 3 to 7 years in inside sales, account management, or technical customer success within a B2B environment—ideally in scientific instrumentation, OEM, optics, semiconductors, or life sciences.
  • Mindset & Ownership: High self‑management, independence, and internal drive. Operate well above a basic administrative level—combining tactical execution with high‑level vision and process design.
  • Language Skills:
    • English – Business fluency required.
    • German – Strong written and spoken proficiency required (a major segment of regional accounts is based in Germany).
    • French – Highly desirable / big advantage.
  • Technical & System Savvy: Comfortable interacting with CRM/ERP tools and navigating technical product discussions with both engineering and commercial stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, Physics, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Location: EU based, with a preference for candidates located in Prague, Czechia.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the high‑precision optics or microscope industry.
  • Track record of driving account growth and renewal in a complex B2B environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Fluency in additional European languages (e.g., Spanish, Italian, Dutch) is a bonus.

Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture and align account strategies with brighthush’s long‑term goals.
  • Relationship Building: Proven track record of building trust and rapport with senior stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical mindset to diagnose issues quickly and propose effective solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German; ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Customer‑Centricity: Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and turning challenges into opportunities.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in using data analytics to uncover trends, forecast demand, and inform strategic actions.
