Student Passion Project Coach
About Ivy Tier Ivy Tier runs a 48-week program for high-school students aged 13 to 17. Each student builds one Signature Project in the field they hope to study. It might be a research study, an app, a community program, a published series, a film or an invention. Then they prove it matters, with evidence from real people outside their circle. Students work in small groups called Waves. They get live classes, one-to-one coaching and four Showcases judged by outside experts. We don't promise admissions results. We promise real work, checked honestly. The role We're hiring our first coaches. You'll lead one Wave of up to 12 students, part-time to start. As new Waves begin, you can take on more Waves, up to full time. The whole curriculum is already written for you: weekly student playbooks, coach scripts, slides and rubrics. Your job is to: - coach real teenagers through real work - check that the work is theirs - keep them safe while they do it You'll work directly with founder Royston G King. What you'll do Run a live 90-minute class (a Studio) each week on Google Meet, using the coach script and slides. Hold a 30-minute one-to-one call with each student every two weeks. Read each student's weekly update every Monday, and rate it Green (on track), Yellow (behind, with a plan) or Red (needs help now). Act fast when a student falls behind. For Yellow, agree a plan within 7 days. For Red, hold a call within 72 hours and bring the parent in. Check every claim before it is shown to anyone. See the work yourself, and hear the student explain it. Prepare students for the Showcases in Weeks 12, 24, 36 and 48. Send each family a short weekly update. An AI helper drafts it; you check it, edit it and send it. Follow our safeguarding rules every time. Time Plan on about 9–10 hours a week for one Wave in Weeks 1–24, then about 5–6 hours a week in Weeks 25–48. These are estimates, and Showcase weeks run longer. Live sessions are on US weekday evenings, Eastern Time. Classes are usually on Thursday at 8:00 pm ET. Each Wave's time is set before it starts.
