Who we are. Karpos Capital Partners acquires established accounting firms and invests in the teams that make them work. Our firms serve individuals, small businesses and nonprofit organizations, many of them clients for decades. Karpos supplies the management, HR and strategy, so our CPAs can focus on the work they do best. We’re hiring tax CPAs for several of our firms. The role. You’ll be the technical leader of an established tax and accounting team, and a technical resource to several sister firms. A dedicated preparation team handles the simple returns, so your time goes to review, complex work and the clients who matter most. You’ll work beside the firm’s founding CPA through the 2027 season as the client relationships pass to you. What you’ll own in your first year A tax season with every return filed or extended on time 20% growth in the book, through a fee increase and by leading the team to serve the strong referral demand already coming in Gross profit above target, with a team bonus pool you help allocate Personal relationships with the firm’s leading clients Review standards: quick turnaround and returns that don’t come back A written review system that makes the next season easier than this one What you bring An active CPA licence in any state, and the licence your firm’s state requires within six months At least five years of tax experience, including individual, S corporation and partnership returns Experience reviewing other people’s work Comfort in any tax software, and the ability to learn a new package quickly State and local tax knowledge, including multistate filings The discipline to work remotely and the warmth to win the trust of clients who knew only the founder A teacher’s instinct: you make the people around you better Where this can lead. Compensation and terms. $110,000 to $150,000 base, depending on how much firm leadership you bring, plus a share of a rich team bonus pool funded by gross profit above target. Retirement plan with employer contribution, a health allowance, 25 days of paid time off plus holidays, and a full week off after the April deadline. Fully remote from anywhere in the US, available 10 am to 3 pm Eastern, with extended hours in season. Starting early January 2027. How to apply.
