Vendor Management Specialist

Client: Insurance Firm Job Title: Vendor Manager Contract Dates: 06 Months (Extension/Conversion based on performance) Pay Rate: ($40 - $45) on an hourly basis Location: Hybrid Role - Can be remote too for a good candidate but from the same below mentioned location. Cedar Rapids, IA 52499 Denver, CO 80202 Overview: We are seeking an experienced Specialist, Vendor Liaisonto manage strategic technology vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, oversee vendor performance, and drive cost optimization. This role partners closely with IT leadership, Procurement, and Legal to ensure vendor agreements meet business needs, contractual obligations, and performance expectations. Required: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. 10+ years of experience in vendor management or a related field. Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation, vendor performance management, and commercial relationship management. Responsibilities: Manage strategic IT vendor relationships, contracts, and compliance. Lead vendor pricing, commercial, and contract negotiations with IT leadership and Procurement. Develop and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and vendor scorecards. Lead vendor selection, sourcing initiatives, and RFP processes. Partner with Legal to negotiate, finalize, and manage vendor agreements. Oversee vendor onboarding, invoicing, credits, penalties, and payment coordination. Qualifications: Experience managing IT or technology service vendors.
