Veteran Service Representative (Remote in Wisconsin/Michigan)

DescriptionJOB SUMMARYThe Veteran Service Representative is responsible for coordinating incoming Veteran Affairs (VA) Community Care Network (CCN) authorizations, verifying veteran coverage and securing VA CCN authorizations for services to be rendered.This individual assures accurate and timely entry into the organization for the purpose of veteran referral and authorization for services.The Veteran Service Representative gathers and correctly analyzes multiple pieces of data to accurately process authorizations while providing excellent service to veterans, providers, external facilities, and the organization.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONMinimum Required :NonePreferred / Optional :Successful completion of post-secondary courses in Medical Terminology and Diagnosis and CPT Coding, and Anatomy & Physiology.Graduate of a Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator, or Health Care Business Service program.EXPERIENCEMinimum Required :Two years of experience in a medical business office or healthcare setting involving customer service or patient-facing responsibilities, or equivalent experience.Preferred / Optional :NoneCERTIFICATIONS / LICENSESMinimum Required :NonePreferred / Optional :None.
