Vice President Finance

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance to lead the company’s financial planning, reporting, and management functions. This role is responsible for maintaining financial discipline, supporting business growth, and providing leadership with accurate financial information for strategic and operational decision-making. The Vice President of Finance will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cash flow management, and financial reporting. Working closely with executive leadership and department heads, this individual will help establish financial priorities, evaluate business performance, and ensure that financial processes support the company’s long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. Oversee financial performance analysis, including revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow. Develop financial models and forecasts to support business planning, investment decisions, and resource allocation. Monitor financial results against budgets and provide clear explanations of variances and potential risks. Manage cash flow planning, liquidity, working capital, and financial resource allocation. Establish and maintain financial policies, internal controls, procedures, and reporting standards. Oversee accounting operations, financial statements, and month-end and year-end closing processes. Work with department leaders to develop budgets, evaluate spending, and improve cost management. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and other senior executives. Support strategic initiatives, business expansion, capital planning, and potential financing activities. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, financial institutions, and other professional service providers. Ensure financial operations comply with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory obligations. Recruit, develop, and manage finance and accounting personnel as the company grows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial management, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Strong background in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management. Experience overseeing accounting functions and establishing effective financial controls and procedures. Ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into practical business recommendations. Demonstrated experience supporting executive decision-making and managing financial priorities across multiple departments. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and corporate financial practices. Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage financial operations in a remote business environment. Experience in technology, financial services, fintech, or startup environments is an advantage.
