Vice President Investment Banking

Location: St. Louis, Missouri As an Investment Banking Vice President, you will play a critical role in helping our clients, founder-owned and privately held businesses, navigate complex transactions and achieve their strategic goals Vice Presidents will Manage full transaction process and lead day-to-day execution of sell-side, buy-side, ESOP, and capital markets engagements, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and counterparties Structure and negotiate key financial and transaction terms, including valuation, financing structure, and deal economics Develop and present pitch books, financial models, CIMs, and management presentations to clients, prospects, lenders, and external advisors Direct industry research and financial analysis that supports deal origination and execution Review all work product for accuracy and quality before it reaches clients or external parties Manage, mentor, and develop Associates and Analysts, including training and performance feedback Support business development and firm growth by cultivating relationships with owners and referral sources, generating ideas across groups, and improving firm processes and recruiting efforts Ideal candidates will possess the following traits: 6 - 10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related financial advisory role, with a strong focus on M&A transactions and closed deal experience Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills ESOP advisory experience extremely beneficial but not required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage internal and external relationships while working collaboratively in a team environment Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines Student-athlete experience valued Remote Work Flexibility ButcherJoseph & Co. offers opportunities to earn increased remote work flexibility based on tenure, demonstrated performance, effective communication, and contributions to team development.
