Role Description The Vice President of Business Analytics is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading data-driven decision-making across the organization. This position oversees the design and implementation of analytics frameworks that improve financial visibility for both the firm and its clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial and operational data, developing performance dashboards and reports, and identifying trends and opportunities to enhance client services and internal efficiency. The role also involves collaborating with leadership on strategic initiatives, guiding cross-functional projects related to data and process improvement, and supporting revenue growth through insights that inform sales and service offerings. The Vice President will mentor team members in analytical best practices and ensure that analytics tools and methods align with business goals.

Qualifications

Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting complex data sets and translating insights into actionable business recommendations. Expertise in finance and financial reporting, particularly in environments supporting small or service-based businesses. 25 years of work experience Proficiency in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and performance measurement. Demonstrated project management capabilities, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution. Understanding of sales processes and the ability to use analytics to support pricing, client acquisition, and retention strategies. Experience with business intelligence tools, data visualization platforms, and advanced Excel or similar analytical software. Proven leadership skills, including mentoring teams, influencing stakeholders, and driving organizational change. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical audiences. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or relevant master’s) is preferred. Experience in a bookkeeping, accounting, or financial services firm is highly beneficial, especially in a remote or distributed team environment.
