Role Description The Vice President of Business Operations is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing and optimizing business and retail operations across Zealous General Trading L.L.C. This position leads cross-functional initiatives to improve operational efficiency, support scalable growth, and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing end-to-end business processes, coordinating program and project delivery, and monitoring key performance indicators to drive data-informed decisions. The role partners closely with finance, merchandising, supply chain, and digital teams to refine workflows, streamline resource allocation, and support profitable expansion in both online and in-store channels. The Vice President of Business Operations also mentors operational leaders, establishes standards and policies, and fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Strong Business Operations and Operations Management skills to oversee complex retail and trading activities. Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, track performance metrics, and support strategic decision-making. Program Management experience to lead multi-team initiatives, manage timelines, and ensure successful delivery of operational projects. Solid Finance knowledge to collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and profitability analysis. Proven leadership experience in retail, fashion, trading, or related industries, ideally at a senior or executive level. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence across diverse teams. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment, managing distributed teams and virtual collaboration tools. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
