Vice-President of Data Operations

Role Description The Vice-President of Data Operations is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing end-to-end data operations, ensuring data quality, reliability, and availability for all business functions. This role designs and implements data operating models, sets standards for data governance, and aligns data strategy with organizational goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing cross-functional data projects, optimizing processes for data acquisition and integration, and monitoring performance metrics across data platforms. The VP collaborates with technology, product, finance, and customer-facing teams to support analytics, reporting, and decision-making needs, while managing budgets and resources tied to data initiatives. This role also involves coaching and developing data operations teams, establishing best practices, and promoting a culture of compliance, security, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in Operations Management and Project Management to lead complex, multi-team data initiatives and optimize processes. Proven experience in P&L Management and Strategic Planning to align data operations with business objectives and manage budgets effectively. Strong background in Customer Service and stakeholder management to ensure data solutions meet internal and external partner needs. Extensive leadership experience managing data operations, analytics, or technology teams in a fast-paced environment. Deep understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and compliance standards (e.g., security, privacy, regulatory requirements). Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, with excellent communication, collaboration, and change management skills. Experience with modern data platforms, data warehousing, and reporting tools; familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems is highly beneficial. Advanced degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
