Role Description The Vice President of Finance is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing all financial activities and strategy for Strand Brothers Service Experts. This position leads the finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis to support business growth and operational efficiency. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial planning processes, reviewing monthly and quarterly financial statements, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations, and providing clear financial insights to senior leadership. The role partners with operations, sales, and corporate teams to evaluate performance, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and guide capital allocation decisions. The Vice President of Finance will also mentor and develop finance team members, implement best practices, and support strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Finance, Financial Planning, and Analytical Skills to guide strategy and decision-making. Candidates should possess skills in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial information. Experience in senior finance leadership roles, preferably in service or HVAC-related industries, is beneficial. Proficiency with financial modeling, budgeting tools, and ERP/accounting systems is preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly. Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing remote or distributed finance teams. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA, CPA, or similar credential is a plus.
