Vice President of Operational Excellence

Role Description The Vice President of Operational Excellence is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading enterprise-wide initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, and performance. This role oversees the development and implementation of operational frameworks, standards, and best practices across manufacturing, supply chain, and business operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing operational data, identifying performance gaps, and driving cross-functional improvement projects that support strategic goals. The Vice President collaborates with senior leadership to define metrics, establish continuous improvement programs, and coach teams on methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and process reengineering. This position also ensures alignment of operational excellence initiatives with organizational objectives, fosters a culture of accountability and innovation, and supports change management efforts to sustain long-term improvements.

Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in Manufacturing Operations and Manufacturing Operations Management, with the ability to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Strong background in Operational Excellence and Operations Management, including experience with continuous improvement frameworks and performance measurement. Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, with the capacity to streamline end-to-end workflows and enhance reliability and cost-effectiveness. Proven experience in senior leadership roles, guiding cross-functional teams and influencing executive-level decision-making. Proficiency in data analysis, KPI development, and the use of metrics to drive operational improvements. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies; relevant certifications are preferred. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is advantageous.
