Vice President of Operations

Role Description The Vice President of Operations is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational performance across the organization. This position leads cross-functional teams to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and ensure consistent delivery of services and products aligned with strategic objectives. The role includes designing and implementing operational frameworks, setting and tracking performance metrics, managing budgets, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Vice President of Operations collaborates closely with executive leadership to support growth, risk management, compliance, and scalable infrastructure. This individual also mentors operational leaders, builds high-performing teams, and promotes a culture of accountability, transparency, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Strong operations leadership and management skills, including experience overseeing multi-disciplinary teams and complex business processes. Proficiency in strategic planning, organizational design, and execution of operational roadmaps aligned with company goals. Demonstrated ability in performance management, including setting KPIs, analyzing metrics, and making data-driven decisions. Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and change management practices. Solid financial and business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across all levels of an organization. Proven track record in building and mentoring diverse, high-performing teams in a remote or distributed environment. Comfort with technology tools and platforms that support remote work, operations monitoring, and workflow automation. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred. Prior experience in a senior operations role (Director, VP, or similar) within a growth-oriented or innovation-driven organization.
