Role Description The Vice President of Product Operations is a full-time, remote role responsible for building and leading the product operations function to improve how product teams plan, deliver, and measure outcomes. This role oversees product processes, tools, and governance, ensuring consistent roadmapping, launch readiness, and cross-functional alignment with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining and optimizing product operating models, setting performance metrics, driving portfolio and resource planning, and ensuring effective communication of product priorities across the organization. The VP will mentor product operations and program leaders, manage complex initiatives from conception through execution, and use data and analytics to refine processes and inform strategic decisions. This role also partners with executive leadership on long-term product strategy, risk management, and continuous improvement of product delivery practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Product Operations and Product Management skills to design and scale product processes, frameworks, and best practices. Candidates should possess Project Management and Program Management skills to oversee complex initiatives, manage dependencies, and ensure timely, quality delivery. Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, define KPIs, and inform decision-making around product performance and operations. Extensive experience leading product or operations teams in a technology-driven environment, preferably at the director or VP level. Proven success implementing product governance, portfolio management, and process improvement across multiple product lines. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities, with experience influencing executive and cross-functional teams. Comfort working in a remote, distributed environment with the ability to build trust and collaboration across time zones. Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or similar) is a plus.
