🌍 Remote · United States 💼 Full-time

Role Description The Volunteer Strategic, Innovative, Black Women Movement Leader is a temporary, remote role that supports the design, coordination, and advancement of movement-building initiatives centering Black women and broader Black ecosystems. This role helps develop strategy frameworks, coordinates virtual meetings and working groups, and collaborates on campaigns and programs that align with SSS’s mission of equity and legacy building. Daily activities may include contributing to strategic planning sessions, helping organize digital outreach and coalition activities, drafting movement narratives and messaging, and supporting relationship-building with community partners, HBCUs, nonprofits, and emerging leaders. The person in this role will also assist with documenting insights, tracking progress on movement goals, and collaborating with SSS team members to ensure that initiatives are culturally grounded, inclusive, and impact-driven.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in community organizing, movement-building, or social impact initiatives, with a strong commitment to equity, justice, and closing the racial wealth gap. Ability to contribute to strategic planning, program design, and coalition-building efforts in virtual settings, including coordinating meetings and supporting collaborative projects. Strong communication skills, including drafting clear messages, movement narratives, and outreach materials for diverse audiences and digital platforms. Capacity to build and maintain relationships with community partners, nonprofits, educational institutions (including HBCUs), and emerging leaders in a respectful and inclusive manner. Comfort with remote work tools and basic digital collaboration platforms; interest or experience in AI integration, data-informed equity work, and innovative approaches to social change is beneficial. Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively in a temporary volunteer role, and contribute reliably to team goals. Familiarity with or lived experience in Black communities and an understanding of historical and current barriers to wealth, health, and opportunity is highly valuable. Background in fields such as community development, nonprofit leadership, social work, public policy, education, Black women professionals, HBCU alumni, faculty, entrepreneurs, consultants, researchers, technologists, nonprofit leaders, and emerging executives to contribute to one or two Q4 priority projects . Your role may be as a Fractional Leader, Advisor, Project Lead, Strategist, Coordinator, Researcher, or Subject-Matter Contributor based on your experience, availability (1 or 2hrs/wk), interests, and desired level of involvement. You will NOT be expected to support everything. Our goal is to match your superpower to a project where your knowledge can create both community impact and new possibilities for you. The Seven Qtr4 Top Projects 1. Black Women’s IC/IP Fellowship — Income Streams, Impact Dreams & Equity Opportunities 2. HBCU Quantum AI Literacy Initiative & Nov. Radical Afrofuturistic Book Exploration & Implementation (shared income & equity possibilities) 5. ChatBlackGPT + Black Women’s Afrofuturistic AI Intelligence Repository 6. HBCU Micro-Internships & Experiential Learning Pipeline (paid & unpaid) 7. SSS/NBNA Fractional Leadership & Business Ecosystem (shared income & equity possibilities) Why “Income Streams & Impact Dreams”? This is currently a volunteer/pro bono opportunity , but the intention is larger than unpaid service. We want to explore where strong collaboration can eventually create consulting opportunities, funded projects, business referrals, grants, sponsorships, intellectual property, commercialization, shared revenue, contracts, or future fractional leadership opportunities . Nothing is guaranteed. Q4 is about finding the right people, the right projects, and where we can realistically build mutual value. Who Should Reach Out? If you are a Black woman who has expertise, relationships, intellectual capital, lived experience, or an unfinished idea that could strengthen one of these projects, I would like to meet you. You may already be successful in your career. You may be building a business. You may be between opportunities. You may be a researcher, professor, executive, consultant, technologist, nonprofit leader, or strategist. Schedule a 30-Minute Conversation Come prepared to answer three questions: Which one or two projects connect with you? What is your professional superpower? What income stream, impact dream, or legacy would you like your next chapter to help create? Schedule with Antione Hines: https://calendly.com/antionehines/30min We are not simply recruiting volunteers. We are looking for Black women who want to help shape what should exist next.
