Volunteer: Wix Members Portal and Membership Workflows

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. We recently rebranded and launched a new Wix website; most public-facing pages (mission, programs, chapters, events, donation pages) are already built. The members-only portal, membership approval workflows, and a scalable site structure for our growing network of local chapters remain incomplete. Our membership application is developed and collects personal information, professional cheerleading history, references, chapter preferences, and acknowledgment of membership policies. This is a website completion and functionality project rather than a redesign. The estimated volunteer commitment is 8–12 weeks at up to 5 hours per week. We are looking for a volunteer with Wix development expertise to complete the members portal, membership workflows, and chapter site structure. The volunteer will Complete and organize the existing Members Portal, delivering a welcoming member dashboard with clear navigation and dedicated sections for member announcements, chapter information, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities; configure member-only access and appropriate permissions. Review and test the existing membership application and implement the registration, approval, and welcome workflows so approved members receive the correct access and an onboarding welcome message. Establish a scalable site structure for local chapters by creating reusable page/collection templates and navigation patterns to support new chapters. Verify the portal and workflows function correctly on desktop and mobile devices and resolve functional issues discovered during testing. We expect this work to be delivered remotely within the stated 8–12 week timeframe at up to 5 hours per week.
