VP Finance - Path to CFO - Remote

Location: Remote Company Overview Our client is a PE backed commercial building services platform experiencing significant growth through both organic expansion and an active acquisition strategy. Operating a national, branch-based platform, with over 40+ sites the company has completed 25+ acquisitions and continuing to do 1-2 a month.

Job Description

As the VP of Finance, you will report directly to the CFO and serve as the strategic finance leader for the organization. This role is positioned as the succession path to CFO, with the expectation that the successful individual will step into the CFO position. You'll oversee enterprise FP&A working closely with executive leadership, operations, and you'll drive forecasting, reporting, operational performance, and M&A integration.

Key Responsibilities

Lead enterprise-wide FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Partner with branch leaders to drive operational performance. Lead finance's role in acquisitions from diligence through post-close integration. Build and develop a high-performing finance team across corporate and field operations. Deliver Board-ready reporting and strategic financial insights. Travel regularly to operating locations to partner directly with business leaders. Qualifications 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including senior leadership responsibility. Experience leading finance within a branch-based and/or multi-site organization, with demonstrated business partnering across multiple operating locations required. Strong FP&A, forecasting, budgeting, and business partnering experience within a large, multi-site organization. Experience in private equity-backed, high-growth, or acquisitive businesses preferred. Proven M&A experience, including diligence, integration, and systems/process transformation. Demonstrated success building high-performing teams and leading organizational change.
