Role Description The VP of Enterprise Governance is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for establishing and overseeing governance frameworks across our digital projects and operations. This role involves defining policies and standards for project delivery, risk management, data handling, and compliance, and ensuring they are consistently applied across the organization. The VP will collaborate with technical, design, and operations teams to align governance practices with business objectives, streamline decision-making, and improve accountability. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing project portfolios, setting and monitoring performance metrics, leading governance committees, and driving continuous improvement in processes and controls. The VP will also mentor team members, communicate governance expectations clearly, and support strategic planning to enable sustainable growth.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in governance, risk, and compliance leadership within technology, digital services, or a related field. Proven ability to design and implement enterprise governance frameworks, policies, and standards for project and portfolio management. Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills, with experience using metrics and data to guide governance improvements. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across multidisciplinary remote teams. Experience with digital product or service environments (e.g., web development, UI/UX, social media or website management) is highly beneficial. Background in organizational operations, program management, or enterprise architecture considered an advantage. Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, management, or a related discipline; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CGEIT, PMP, ITIL, COBIT) are a plus. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple initiatives, and adapt governance practices to a dynamic freelance tech environment.
