VP of Strategic Partnerships

Role Description The VP of Strategic Partnerships is a full-time, remote role responsible for developing, leading, and sustaining high-impact alliances that advance ALATAP’s mission. This role oversees relationship-building with key stakeholders, including professional associations, government agencies, academic institutions, and private sector organizations. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying partnership opportunities, negotiating agreements, managing partner accounts, and ensuring joint initiatives are executed on time and within scope. The VP will collaborate closely with leadership to align partnership strategies with organizational goals, support membership growth, and help secure programmatic and funding opportunities. The role also involves monitoring partnership performance, preparing reports and presentations for the executive team, and representing ALATAP at virtual and in-person events as needed.

Qualifications

Ability to cultivate and sustain strong business relationships, with proven skills in Business Relationship Management and Account Management. Demonstrated expertise in building and managing Strategic Partnerships that support organizational growth and impact. Experience in Strategic Planning and Business Planning, including setting goals, defining metrics, and aligning initiatives with mission and vision. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and disciplines. Prior experience in the non-profit, public safety, security, or behavioral threat assessment fields is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, international relations, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus. Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with global teams. Professional proficiency in English; Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are an advantage.
