Weekend Registered Nurse RN (Triage)
About the Role
Robinhood Integrative Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide weekend triage support. This role is designed to help our patients receive timely responses while giving our providers a much-needed weekend break. Portal messaging will be turned off for providers on weekends. You will be the primary point of contact for weekend patient calls, offering clinical triage, answering questions within your scope, and escalating urgent issues appropriately.
Responsibilities
Answer and triage incoming patient phone calls during weekend hours (Sat–Sun 9 AM–3 PM) Assess symptoms, provide basic guidance, and determine appropriate next steps (e.g., scheduling, home care instructions, or escalation to a provider) Document calls and outcomes clearly in the practice system Maintain a warm, professional, and reassuring tone consistent with our integrative, patient-centered approach Escalate time-sensitive or complex clinical concerns promptly Support the practice’s goal of protecting provider rest while ensuring patients feel heard and cared for
Qualifications
Active RN license in North Carolina (or compact license) Strong clinical judgment and triage experience (primary care, integrative, urgent care, or similar preferred) Excellent communication skills—clear, calm, and empathetic Comfortable working independently on weekends Reliable technology setup for remote call handling and documentation An interest in and basic understanding of integrative medicine and protocols is a huge plus
