Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and plugins
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Troubleshoot and debug WordPress sites and plugins
- Optimize website performance, security, and SEO
- Implement responsive design and ensure cross-browser compatibility
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
- Stay current with WordPress updates, security patches, and industry trends
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience developing WordPress sites and plugins
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Solid understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Portfolio or GitHub profile demonstrating your work
Nice-to-Have
Skills
- Experience with WooCommerce or other WordPress e-commerce solutions
- Knowledge of REST APIs and headless WordPress
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue)
- Experience with WordPress security best practices
- Understanding of web accessibility (WCAG) standards
- Experience with hosting platforms and server management
- Contribution to WordPress open-source projects
