WordPress Developer (Divi & Security Specialist) - Ongoing Maintenance (US Only)

We are seeking an experienced, highly communicative WordPress Developer to take over the ongoing maintenance, security oversight, and front-end content updates for our corporate website. Our website is built using the Divi framework and is hosted on a high-performance managed platform (Rocket.net / Cloudflare Enterprise Edge) with Wordfence handling security. We need a long-term partner who can respond promptly to website issues during standard Eastern Time business hours. Scope of Work & Expectations: 1. Routine Maintenance & Security: - Perform safe, monthly core, theme, and plugin updates using staging environments. - Monitor Wordfence logs and harden login security (e.g., XML-RPC blocking, aggressive IP lockout thresholds). - Audit and implement advanced HTTP security headers (HSTS, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options) to enhance browser-side security. 2. Performance Optimization: - Tune and optimize Divi’s native performance settings (Dynamic CSS generation, deferring unused JavaScript) to ensure lightning-fast mobile and desktop load times. 3. On-Demand Content Updates: - Execute occasional layout changes, build new page sections, or tweak forms natively using the Divi Builder. 4. Mobile Optimization & Troubleshooting (Near-term Need): - Troubleshoot and resolve a reported front-end issue where embedded videos fail to play properly on iOS mobile devices (iPhones/iPads). - Review and fix mobile responsiveness bugs on post layouts where content appears compressed or incorrectly scaled on smaller viewport widths. 5. Communication: - Provide a brief monthly health/activity report outlining tasks completed and site security status. Requirements: - MUST be located in the United States (East Coast / Eastern Time Zone). - Deep, native experience with the Divi theme framework (please share portfolio examples). - Strong understanding of WordPress security principles, activity logging, and server-side optimization. - Must have direct experience working with Rocket.net managed hosting. - Proactive communicator who takes ownership of site health.
